Giving Halo to the Call of Duty Publisher Is the Best Move for the Franchise

On September 22, Xbox Chief Content Officer Matt Booty confirmed that the Halo franchise would undergo a massive shake-up. The next mainline game will leave Halo Studios and the Xbox Game Studios umbrella to be developed by a purpose-built team under Activision, kept separate from the Call of Duty teams. Halo Studios, the team created specifically to steward the franchise after Bungie's exit, drops to supporting the currently active Halo titles.
