Montana Democrat who refuses to drop out may spoil party’s Senate hopes

Polling shows a Montana independent candidate backed by much of the Democratic Party would win the Senate race — if only the official Democratic candidate, Alani Bankhead, would drop out. If neither do, the seat will likely go to their Republican opponent.
